Dewey's pizza was born out of a simple belief: great pizza starts with great ingredients. What began as a neighborhood experiment in West Chester, OH has grown into one of the region's most beloved pizza destinations — all without ever compromising on what matters most.

Our founder, Dewey, spent years perfecting the art of the handcrafted pie — sourcing local produce, milling specialty flours, and slow-fermenting dough for the perfect chew and char. 2008

The First Oven is Lit

Dewey opens the doors to a tiny 12-seat spot on Cox Lane in West Chester, OH. Armed with one stone deck oven, a family dough recipe, and a lot of determination, dewey's pizza serves its first pies to the neighborhood.

2011

Word Gets Out

A glowing review in a local food blog sends lines out the door every weekend. Deweys expands the dining room and hires its first full kitchen crew, doubling capacity while keeping every pie handmade.

2014

Catering Program Launches

Responding to demand from local businesses and event planners, dewey's pizza launches its full-service catering program — bringing the stone oven experience to corporate events, weddings, and private parties across Ohio.

2017

Regional Award Recognition

Dewey's pizza is named "Best Independent Pizza" by a regional food guide for the first time — an honor we've now earned three years running. The accolade cements our place among the best in the state.

2020

Adapting & Serving On

During a challenging period, deweys rapidly pivots to contactless carry-out and community meal programs, providing hundreds of free pizzas to healthcare workers and families in need across West Chester Township.

2023

Franchise Program Opens

To bring Dewey's Pizza to more communities, we launch our franchise program. Carefully vetted partners open new locations, each held to the same quality standards that made the original dewey's pizza a household name.
